AMAG Technology is excited to announce a powerful new integration with AVUTEC, bringing advanced vehicle access management to our customers. By combining AMAG’s trusted Symmetry Access Control System with AVUTEC’s high-performance ANPR camera systems—through the dedicated SymmetryAxon plugin—organizations can seamlessly manage vehicle access at controlled gates using nothing more than a license plate.
AVUTEC’s SymmetryAxon plugin enables X-Series ANPR/LPR devices to automatically grant access to Symmetry cardholders based on their vehicle’s license plate. As a certified AMAG partner, AVUTEC developed the specialized SymmetryAxon software to run directly on their ANPR cameras, creating a real-time, automated solution for secure vehicle entry and exit.
When a vehicle approaches a Symmetry-controlled gate, the AVUTEC camera captures the license plate and immediately checks for a match in the Symmetry database. If the license plate matches a registered cardholder, the system generates a Wiegand signal containing the cardholder’s badge ID, which is sent to the Symmetry control panel to allow or deny access.
If the camera scans an unrecognized license plate, a custom “Unknown License Plate” event is created and sent to Symmetry via DataConnect, providing important real-time alerts about unauthorized vehicles.
