Visitor Management include enhancements that are focused on the user experience for GUEST Host and Host Delegate roles holders, as well as the ability to map visit user-defined fields (UDFs) with Symmetry personal data fields (PDFs). Enhancements include:

  • The GUEST New Visit page has been completely overhauled with a focus on making it more user-friendly. Enhancements include:

  • A reorganization of the fields in the form to present a more user-friendly flow.

  • Improved the Arrival and Departure date and time picker, and included an option to display the time in 12 or 24-hour formats.

  • Ability to add and edit visitor records directly when added to the visit. This prevents the need to navigate away from the page and back to update something such as a visitor’s notification preference as well as be able to add new visitor information in one single set.

  • Improved the user experience on mobile devices.

  • A new citizenship field has been added to the visitor record that will allow you to select the citizenship of the visitor rather than associate this field with the visit itself. The citizenship field associated with the visit is still available for backward compatibility, however, it will be removed in a future release.

  • The ability to set the screen configurations for the visit record has been for the visitor record. This will allow you to set if the Citizenship field and Company field should be shown, hidden, or required. It will also allow you to show or hide the notifications option.

  • The ability to update Symmetry personal data fields with values in fields including user-defined fields in GUEST has been added. These mapping fields can be defined in the GUEST Access Control Integration options. This functionality allows you to customize how you want visit data in GUEST to be entered in Symmetry, and provide a more seamless experience. Key features include:

  • Required Symmetry personal data fields will be highlighted.

  • Supports all Symmetry field types

  • Supports Symmetry Cardholder or Visitor personal data fields

Coming soon…

  • Ability to update mapped GUEST fields with Symmetry personal data fields

  • Ability to associate CONNECT access request workflows with specific access groups.

  • Ability to set the expiration date of a CONNECT access request based on a relative period.

  • Ability to configure rules in CONNECT that must be met for an identity to either request or approval access

Watch for these enhancements in the next blog.
