Georgia Port Authority Implements Successful TWIC Program

The Georgia Port Authority (GPA) operates four ocean terminals, two in the Port of Savannah and two in the Port of Brunswick, and is committed to maintaining a competitive edge through the development of leading-edge technology and operations to move cargo faster.  The GPA continuously studies what must be done to sustain growth, performance and security.

The Garden City Terminal in Savannah is the largest single-terminal container facility in North America and the fourth busiest port in the United States. The Ocean Terminal is Savannah’s breakbulk and Roll-On/Roll-Off facility and covers over 200 acres.  The Port of Brunswick’s Colonel’s Island Terminal is a deep water terminal that is one of the fastest growing auto and heavy machinery ports in North America with more than 12 major auto manufacturers using it.  The Mayor’s Point Terminal facilitates the export of Georgia’s valuable forest products.
