Columbus Regional Airport
Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) oversees the operations of the John Glenn Columbus International Airport, which manages commercial service flights; Rickenbacker International Airport, which handles cargo and passenger charter flights; and Bolton Field, a corporate and general aviation airport. To effectively comply with the Transportation Security Administration’s guidelines and secure its buildings, employees, passengers and assets, the CRAA conducted a top to bottom risk and vulnerability assessment. Through that assessment, the CRAA became concerned about the reliability and serviceability of its existing Matrix access control system. Its current system was old and unreliable, and replacement parts were becoming difficult to obtain. Servicing the system was becoming increasingly expensive, and the CRAA didn’t think it could help them meet government regulations. Therefore, the CRAA enlisted the help of Security Risk Management Consultants, Inc. (SRMC) of Columbus, Ohio to find a new security management system.
