The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) M-11-11, issued in February of 2011, outlined that federal agencies continue following HSPD-12 guidelines and implement agency-wide use of the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card. AMAG’s dedicated Government Systems Group is ready to help you determine your current physical and logical access control requirements and assist you in moving to a PIV-enabled physical access control system (PACS) system. AMAG’s Symmetry Homeland V7 SMS is in accordance with HSPD-12 policy, accepts PIV credentials issued by other federal agencies, and aligns with the Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management (FICAM) roadmap.
Symmetry Homeland is a physical access control system (PACS) designed to provide powerful integrated access control and security management solutions for those users that need to comply with Federal regulations such as FIPS 201, FIPS 197, SP800-116, M-11-11 and HSPD-12 in support of smart card programs such as PIV, CAC, TWIC and FRAC. Symmetry Homeland also supports your non-PIV visitors through included visitor management, badging, and optional DESFire card encoding.
Symmetry Homeland provides a comprehensive range of standard features, including alarm monitoring and routing, visitor management, badging and graphical map interfaces, database partitioning for multi-tenant facilities, and more. There are additional cost options available to meet special requirements such as XML integration capability, Guard Tour, Building Control integration, and others. Remote access is also available using thin client architecture providing flexibility, security, and scalability.
In addition, Symmetry Homeland supports the Symmetry Intrusion Management module, an integrated solution for intrusion detection (IDS) and access control. One easy to use and powerful user interface for access control, intrusion detection and video management, end users can choose a combined keypad/reader available in a variety of supported card technologies to best meet the needs of their security system.
