AMAG Technology Releases New Features in the Symmetry Security Management System
Several New Features offer maximum benefits to end users
Torrance, CA, March 28, 2007
– AMAG Technology, a G4Tec company, announced
today
at ISC West the release of its newly upgraded Symmetry Security Management
System. Several new features make Symmetry a better choice for companies needing
a complete security management system.
Access Control
Users can utilize the easy to use Symmetry Identity Management module when they
use the new Identity menu. All features are located within the Identity menu, making
it easier to navigate and create credentials.
The Data Connect module allows users to create reports using the Transaction Import
table on transactions made from third party systems integrated with Symmetry. Create
detailed reports from all systems, whether it is a human resource, CCTV, cashless
payment, or burglar alarm system, to best manage your complete security system.
Symmetry’s new Command Center displays the status of all devices in a tree display.
Users can operate the system right from the tree view. Enhanced permissions can
restrict devices and options available to individual users that you define.
Installers will enjoy how simple it is to install the Symmetry SMS. The installation
screens are more intuitive and user friendly, making the installation process more
straightforward for technicians not as familiar with the system. In less than 10
clicks of the mouse, Symmetry is installed with no reboot needed.
Intrusion
Symmetry now boasts a new Intrusion Management module with a separate toolbar that
displays a summary of all intrusion devices in real-time. Security guards can see
at a glance all activity occurring. A new device tree shows the status of a defined
list of areas, zones and detectors. The status of these same areas and devices are
also displayed on the dynamic graphical maps.
“Symmetry’s new features provide end users with more precise control over their
security management systems,” said AMAG Technology, President
Bob Sawyer.
Hardware
Symmetry’s new enclosure provides the highest ratio of readers per square foot.
The new CAB5 16 reader enclosure allows you to get the most of out of limited space.
The enclosure is available with an eight reader M2150 8DBC installed, however, an
additional eight reader M2150 8DBC intelligent controller can be added to provide
a full 16 reader capability.
Symmetry Video
A new rack mounted Symmetry Edge Network Video Server (ENVS®) has been released
that provides eight channels of MPEG-4 in a 1U enclosure. The new rack mount allows
for cleaner looking installs while still providing the optimum store and forward
functionality users expect from Symmetry ENVS.
Symmetry Video’s event recording has become more precise. Now users can record video from IP
cameras just seconds before and after an event rather than in complete minutes.
These precious seconds could mean the difference between seeing and missing an unwanted
event.
Guards can take advantage of improved features within Symmetry Video’s Identity
Check:
- Guards can compare a live ID badge photo with a stored ID photo to see if the person
using the card is the same person stored in the computer.
- Control up to four doors and cameras from a single PC.
- Guards can control doors and provide manual restrictions when necessary.
- Guards can manually search for a card holder and his transaction log when a person
does
not have their card.
-
For large companies, guards can view a second virtual matrix on a PC providing a
maximum of 72 cameras displayed on a screen.
